Lesley Davis

Director of Dining Services

Get To Know Them:

About Lesley:

Lesley is our Director of Dining Services and has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry.  She graduated with a bachelors from Johnson and Wales in Rhode Island.  After school she moved to California for 3 years and worked in Bel Air, then returned home to work in the family restaurant.  From here she started her own catering business which she jointly ran with the family restaurant.  In 2009 Lesley started at Waynesburg University as an executive chef and later became the dining director! She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, raised in Scenery Hill, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Washington, Pennsylvania on her family farm where she raises cattle and pigs.  Lesley’s joy of her life is her daughter, Katie.  They are best friends and do everything together.  In her free time, she enjoys reading murder mystery books, gardening, and exploring different restaurants and foods with her daughter.  A Fun Fact about Lesley, she helped put together the University Cookbook for Waynesburg University.  She really enjoyed working on this project from writing recipes, photo shoot and working with a large group of people to bring it all together.  If you see Lesley on campus be sure to say hi!

Aaron Jeffries

Get To Know Them:

About Aaron:

Aaron has over 24 years of experience in the food service industry with a background in country clubs, 5-star restaurants, high-end catering and university dining.  He was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, raised in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and now lives in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.  Aaron and his partner, Rachel, have 2 pit bulls, Nayla, 14 years old, and Pierre, 6 years old. His hobbies include fly fishing, back packing, hiking and camping all of which leads him back to streams for fishing.   Aaron has been fortunate enough to cook for royalty, celebrates and government officials, he has taken part in numerous cooking competition and a few ice carving competitions as well.  A fun Fact about Aaron, while at West Virginia University he made a gingerbread replica of the Erickson Alumnni Center and other miniature ginger bread house displays. 

James Portellos

Get To Know Them:

About James:

James spends his time at the Beehive juggling many tasks.  He has over 17 years of experience in the food service industry he has a bachelor of fine arts from community college of Allegheny.  He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.  James and his partner, Mary have a son, Alexander and a fur baby, Otis.  In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, cooking and working on cars.  He is a photographer who has traveled the United States and Europe.  He has photographed a president, professional athletes, super models, priceless works of art and a munchkin from the wizard of OZ.  His work has been in many national and international magazines. A fun fact about James, he owns two antique automobiles, a 1937 Packard 120 and a 1969 Oldsmobile 442. 

Crystal McNett

Catering Manager

Get To Know Them:

About Crystal:

Crystal has worked at Waynesburg University for over 10 years.  She started in the dish room and worked up to catering manager.  She is a great at multi-tasking, currently balancing the catering departments, morning shift and administrative work.  She was born and raised in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.  Is a widow with two sons, Keith and Joshua, three grandkids, Baylee(11 years old), Emma (7 years old), Hunter (2 years old) and three fur babies, Coco (chocolate lab), Hershey (mix) and Mousse (mix).  Crystal enjoys spending time with her kids and grandkids and when its warm she enjoys sitting on her patio swing watching the dogs play.
